Important Date - Saturday 10th December 2011, Cafeteria, Awhina House, Newmarket AucklandSaturday 10th December has been identified as an important day for Blind Sport New Zealand and its members. The Board has planned a Presidents Forum, Annual General Meeting and the presentation of 2010/2011 Sporting awards to be held. We appreciate that as volunteers that this is a huge commitment and you may not be able to be available the whole day but would really appreciate it if you can or another representative from your group as it is going to be very productive and important for the next 12 months.Blind Sport New Zealand Presidents Forum - is scheduled to be held from 10.30 am - 12.30pm. Refreshments will be provided. This will provide the opportunity for the Board and its groups to discuss plans for the future. The Board will pay for all travel costs of each President or one representative from each group to attend this meeting. Costs will be reimbursed on receipt of an invoice. The Agenda will be sent out early next week once it has been confirmed.Blind Sport New Zealand 2011 Annual General Meeting - Will be held following the Presidents Forum at 1.30 pm at the cafeteria, Awhina House, Newmarket. Please find the agenda attached to this email and also the nomination form for election to the Board as there are 2 Board vacancies and 1 Vice President. The Board members whose term is completed may put their names up for nomination. They are Chris Orr, Megan Cleverley and Dennis Wells.The constitution has been worked on over the past few months taking into consideration the suggestions from the Special General Meeting held earlier this year and a draft will be sent out to the members for comment by 18th November 2011. I will require any feedback by the 30th November to allow us to send out the discussion points to all members prior to the AGM.End of year reports - I would really appreciate it if you could all please send me your reports for the year ending 30 June 2011 by 30th November as they will need to sent out one week prior to the meeting.Presentation of Sporting Awards for 2010/2011 - will be presented at an afternoon tea on this day. Nomination forms will be sent in a separate email.I apologise for giving you so much information and the work that you have to complete in the next few weeks.
